Celebrity of the Week: Sean Penn

Last Friday (15), in Los angeles, Ariel Goldenberg, a Brazilian  actor with Down Syndrome, saw his life long dream of meeting actor Sean Penn come true. The actor met Sean Penn at his house. For those who doesn’t know what’s going on, Goldenberg is a huge fan of Sean Penn and his colleagues started a campaign (#vemseanpenn) to bring Sean Penn to Brazil to attend the premiere of “Colegas” (buddies).

Despite all the buzz, Sean Penn didn’t come to Brazil for the premiere of “Colegas”. I actually knew he wouldn’t come. A lot of Hollywood actors don’t like their names associated with advertising campaign. #vemseanpenn helped to promote the movie. I wasn’t aweare of the movie before this campaign and I didn’t know about Ariel either. But everything is possible in Hollywood, baby. And Goldenberg’s dream came true and he met his idol.

I think that Goldenberg was a little crazy to simply knock on Penn’s door. This is actually banned in some states. Places like Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Malibu have a very strong privacy law. You can’t even drive thru some streets uninvited. There are many warning signs and security cameras and in California, depending on the case, a person can get up to 6 months in jail and have to pay a fine of about $1000.

I've always liked Sean Penn. He's on my list of favorite actors. There is a group in the U.S who doesn’t  like him for being "socialist." Maybe that’s why the campaign was not as strong in the US, but it was enough to catch his attention. He didn’t go to Brazil for the premiere of the movie but he welcomed Ariel into his house and was very nice to him and that’s why Sean Penn is our celebrity of the week.
I’m not socialist but I don’t care about people’s political view, race, sexual orientation or religion. I don’t judge people. I like Sean Penn’s work and that’s it. I don’t care about anything else and you shouldn’t care either. ;)

Celebrity of the week: MDNA !!!!

The celebrity of the week is the one  and only, MADONNA - the Queen of Pop. I just came back from her show in Rio and I'm still very  impressed and happy. I always liked her since I was a little girl but I admit I haven't been following her career for a long time but I was in Rio at the same time she was so I though: OMG! I HAVE to see her show. So I went to see her and it was PHENOMENAL. I feel so lucky to be able to see it. I've been to 3 of her concerts (different tours of course) and I think MDNA is my favorite of them all. Today I felt like a teenager again. I danced, I jumped, I sang and I scremed thru the whole show. My voice is gone. I am all sore from all the jumping. But it's all worth it.

A funny horrible episode... I lost my shoes on my way back - long story - but watch out if you go to Rio someday because near the Parque dos Atletas has a mangrove area. I think that's what it is, and I almost sank trying to cross it. I managed to save myself, but my sneakers are gone.

Anyway... the show was FANTASTIC. Wardrobe is AWESOME. The stage is AMAZING. I don't know how she does it but she has the same energy and stage presence as she always had and it's IMPOSSIBLE not to be impressed by her talent. I only have one BIG complaint: Madonna, why you didn't sing HOLIDAY??? I was waiting for it all week long... but at least she sang LIKE A PRAYER, my fav song along with VOGUE. YAY!

Here is a photo of my childhood friend Ana and I at the show ... you can see how happy we are, right? Cheers!

P.S: My beauty mark is real. I just want to make sure you all know that in case you think I would copy Madonna. LOL It's on the other side thou. ;)

I found a cool video of the show on Youtube.

Celebrity of the Week: Lady Gaga

My friend bought a ticket to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball and got another ticket for free so she invited me to go with her. I didn’t quite know what to expect. I think I know about five of her songs. I do like her but never thought of going to her show. You know what? I LOVED IT. It’s a huge production. Didn’t know most songs but I enjoyed it a lot. She is weird but very cool to watch. She seems very nice. It was actually very sweet when she called some of her fans on the stage to dance and sing with her.  It was raining the whole time but yet I had a lot of fun and danced a lot. I really recommend.

Here’s her tour schedule:

Jan 17 – San Jose, CA – HP Pavillion Area
Jan 20 – Los angeles, CA – Staples Center
Jan 21 – Los Angeles , CA – Staples Center

My friend - who invited me to the show and I at Lady Gaga's concert.
